The noise, vibration, and harshness of the engine have been decreased due to Jeep’s decision to offset the piston pin 0.3 millimeters from the centerline. Speaking of pistons the lightweight pistons were completely redesigned and now come with low-friction coating and thinner rings.

Yes, we can! The EcoDiesel engine utilizes a forged steel crankshaft and connecting roads along with dual overhead camshafts. The DOHC has four valves per cylinder and a 60-degree angle between cylinder banks. Oil jets cool the aluminum alloy pistons on the underside.
