There are many different engines you’ll be able to choose from with the 2020 Ram 1500. This pickup is ready for anything you can throw at it, especially with a standard 3.6-liter V6 engine that can output 269 pound-feet of torque and 305 horsepower. You also can’t forget about the 5.7-liter V8 engine, which cranks out up to 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. New in 2020 is the addition is a diesel engine, which enables you to get up to 480 pound-feet of torque and 260 horsepower. The diesel engine can be added to any of the available trim levels. No matter what, expect to find an 8-speed automatic transmission with each engine for added support and performance.

2020 GMC Sierra Power & Handling

There are a few engines you can get with the 2020 Sierra. The base engine is a 4.3-liter V6 which outputs 305 lb-ft of torque and 285 horsepower. Paired with this engine is a 6-speed automatic transmission. Another available engine is a turbocharged 2.7-liter 4-cylinder, which creates 348 lb-ft of torque and 310 hp while connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission. You’ll also find a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-six, which offers 277 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. More engine options include a 5.3-liter V8, and a 6.2-liter V8. As you can tell, GMC put a lot of engines in this lineup, but none of them are quite as reliable or fun as the options with the 1500.

2020 Ram 1500 Features & Design

Coming in with six trim levels, you’ll be able to really figure out what sort of pickup truck you need in your life. Some of the standard features include a six-speaker stereo system, trailer sway damping, a 5-inch touchscreen, push-button start, and even a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. Higher models, like Laramie, include leather-trimmed front seats, power-adjustable front seats, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, power mirrors and rear window, heated and ventilated front seats, and 20-inch wheels. Even the Longhorn trim is ready for added fun with a spray-in bedliner, premium-leather bucket seats, and a leather-wrapped wood steering wheel. There’s something for everyone with the 2020 Ram 1500.

2020 GMC Sierra Features & Design

Six trims are also available with the GMC Sierra. Standard features include Bluetooth, air conditioning, a 6-speaker sound system, a seven-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a tilt-only steering wheel, and a rearview camera. Another available model, SLT, includes heated/ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a locking rear differential, heated 2nd-row seats, and a tilt/telescoping steering wheel. The highest trim, Denali, includes a 7-speaker Bose sound system, exclusive adaptive suspension dampers, forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
